Foreign bodies in the bladder can result in recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI), hematuria, calculus formation, and pelvic pain. Instruments used for surgical and endoscopic procedures or masturbation may migrate into the bladder. intrauterine device (IUD) is a safe and cost-effective means of contraception. However, since its application, many complications including dysmenorrhea, hypermenorrhea, pelvic infections, pregnancy, spontaneous abortion, uterine rupture, and migration into the neighboring organs have been reported. migration of the IUD into the bladder has been rarely reported in the literature. We report a case of IUD migration into the bladder and calculus formation.

intrauterine Contraceptive device (IUD) is a useful and reversible contraceptive method. This method has potential complications. Uterine perforation and IUD migration is rare but is a serious complication. Migrated IUD could situate in different organs such as bowel loop, urinary bladder, fallopian tube, or ovary. However, the presence of a displaced IUD simultaneously in the two organs is a rare event. Ultrasonography is an appropriate and initial method for evaluating the IUD location. Abdominopelvic x-ray, computed tomography, and MRI are adjunctive imaging modalities. We present a case with migrated IUD, which was located in the right ovary and small intestine simultaneously.

Using intrauterine device (IUD) is the most common method of contraception worldwide. However, there is a risk of its migration and damage to the intra-abdominal organs. According to the recent reports, perforation of the uterus by IUD is seen in 0.05 to 13 cases out of 1000 IUD insertions. The primary rupture of the uterus has been reported at the time of IUD insertion; however, the secondary or delayed rupture is more common and seems to be due to the spasms of the uterus.

Background: The use of intrauterine devices (IUDs) for contraception has in-creased in many countries. However, their application has some serious compli-cations such as uterine perforation and injury to adjacent organs. The translo-cated IUD into the bladder is a very rare occurrence. Case Presentation: Our case was a 41-year-old woman whose IUD was acci-dentally discovered in her bladder during a routine ultrasound. The IUD has mi-grated from its normal position in the uterus to the bladder. The IUD was suc-cessfully removed by cystoscopy without any complications. Conclusion: The mislocation of an IUD in the bladder, while uncommon, is a possibility that should be considered when the IUD string is not visible during examinations.
